Experimental study on splitting strength of new-to-old concrete in short age

Through the research on splitting strength of new-to-old concrete,influences of interface agents,interface treatment methods and old concrete of different ages on splitting strength of new-to-old concrete were explored. The results indicate that good interface treatment can improve bond force of new-to-old concrete,and the effect of transverse-groove is better than artificial chiseling. Interfacial agent improves splitting strength of new-to-old concrete,and expanded cement slurry is better than cement slurry and osmotic crystallization cement slurry. With the increase of old concrete age,splitting strength are reduced. Based on splitting strength analysis,the formula of splitting strength and compressive strength of old concrete at different ages was fitted.
