Analysis and Countermeasures of Furnace Pressure Fluctuation Caused by SCR DeNO_x

Selective Catalytic Reduction(SCR) is now a flue gas DeNO_x technology widely used in coalfired power plants.Problems such as air preheater blockage and abnormal furnace pressure fluctuation are likely to occur in boilers with SCR devices.Taking a coal-fird unit as an example,this paper makes a comprehensive analysis of the pressure difference between inlet and outlet of the air preheater,coal quality as well as the working conditions of the unit and finds that the abnormal furnace pressure is caused by the partial blockage during the DeNO_x process.It further explains that a large amount of ammonia slip due to excessive ammonia injection is the fundamental cause and then proposes the countermeasures.
