Guidance of Combustion Adjustment Based on Pulverized Coal Activation Energy and Ignition Temperature

The combustion kinetics and ignition characteristics of the coal powders of three different coal ranks in different heating conditions were studied by TG-DSC experiment. In the same external conditions,activation energy of meagre coal is the largest,bituminous coal the second and lignitous coal the least,corresponding to the coal rank. For the same kind of pulverized coal,with the increase of heating rate,the activation energy of pulverized coal combustion gradually decreases. In the same external conditions,the higher the coal rank,the higher the ignition temperature of the pulverized coal. The ignition temperature of the pulverized coal increases with the increase of the heating rate,and the rising trend is gradually slow. It is considered that the combustion of pulverized coal has a critical heating rate,that is,the ignition temperature of the pulverized coal will no longer change above the critical heating rate. The combustion analysis of the power plant boiler in the condition of changing load and changing coal type offers theoretical guidance for combustion adjustment.
