Effect of Culture and Induction Conditions on Dormancy Period of Potato Microtuber

The potato microtubers were induced in vitro by one-step method without replacing medium and adding exogenous hormones.The effects of photoperiod,light intensity and temperature at culture stage and illumination length at induction stage were studied on the microtuber dormancy period of three potato varieties 'Favorita','Atlantic' and 'Kexin 1'.The results showed that at culture stage,light intensity had no significant effect on microtuber dormancy period,but the prolonging of illumination time could increase the microtuber dormancy period steadily;high temperature shortened the microtuber dormancy period obviously.At induction stage,the microtubers induced in long darkness had long dormancy period.
