The Yangtze Permian coal - bearing rock series (the Longtan coal series) distribute in South Anhui broadly , and can bedivided into the Chaoxian and the Susong two depositional subtypes based on the depositional features in the district. The features of de-positional facies are described substantially in the aspects of depositional environment ,rock types and textures , depositional structures and palaeotology. Four depositional models and three coal -forming models of the Permian are established in South Anhui according to thevertical sequence association and temporal - spatial evolution. Analysis has been made on coal -forming features under different environ-ments, and the coal - enriching centre also pointed out.
