The southward extension of the Fuchashan area in Middle Anhui is represented by the section around the Dahuangshan Mt. where a suite of substantially unmetamorphosed strata are outcropped. Based on integrated analysis of rock association, meta- morphic degree, microfossils, it is regarded as the Beijiangjun lithologic association which can be correlated with the Zhangbaling area and subdivided into two lithologic members, i. e. the lower member of carbonate rock and the upper one of fragmental rock.
