THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE LATE JURASSIC NAIXIANG FORMATION AND THE DISCOVERY OF CYCLESTHRIOPSIS IN THE RIDANG FORMATION, LUOZHA, SOUTH TIBET

A suite of late Jurassic clastic rock bed was found around the Luozha - Jiangzhi area in Tibet, which extends constantly and is coeval heteropic with and lithologically abruptly different from the Weimei Formation in west and the Kadong Formation and Sangxiu Formation in northeast, and termed as Naixiang Formation. furthermore, Cyclesthriopsis sp. was discovered in the mid - Jurassic Ridang Formation.
