DETERMINATION OF SIX-VALENCE CHROMIUM IN TAILINGS OF VANADIUM ORE
PENG Bin(Anhui Coal Geological Detection Center, Suzhou 234000, China)
On the condition of pH=10～11, adding a specific amount of iron will enable six valence chromium to effectively separate from high quantity of vanadium in tailings. Then the six valence chromium can be determined by DPC absorption spectrophotometry. The recovery rate ranges from 94%to 102%. Repeated detection on the same sample gives a result of 2.42×10-6 to 3.00×10-6. The method is convenient to conduct and can exclude the disturbance by a large quantity of vanadium.
