RESULT OF APPLICATION OF INTEGRATED GEOPHYSICAL EXPLORATION TECHNIQUE TO 3D GEOLOGICAL MAPPING AND METALLOGENIC PROGNOSIS IN THE ZHONGGU AREA

Located in metallogenic zone along the mid-lower Yangtze River reaches, the Zhonggu area is superior in ore-forming geological conditions. This paper, through area and profile survey of gravity, magnetism and electricity in the mapped area, with physical properties of rocks as basis, and known geological borehole data as constraint, processed geophysical data, made an inversion calculation, inferred a geological structure above-2000 m level within 13 controlling profiles, combined with interface inversion, acquired burial depth data of major stratigraphic interfaces in the mapped area, prepared geological interruption map of each depth, on such basis, analyzed and summarized typical ore districts, built up geological-geophysical ore-forming model, and outlined mineral exploration targets under reasonable orientation analysis and quantitative calculation.
