ANOMALY FEATURES OF GROUND PENETRATING RADAR ABOVE THE UNDERGROUND CIVIL AIR DEFENSE TUNNEL AND THEIR PRACTICAL APPLICATION

Ground penetrating radar(GPR) is a geophysical approach to detecting the internal structure distribution of a medium under the surface by using broadband high-frequency electromagnetic waves in the form of pulses. It is widely used in many fields, such as geo-hazard exploration, detection of shallow underground concealment and inspection of engineering quality. In this paper, forward modeling method is used to tell anomaly features of GPR above underground roadway under different conditions, and practical application is made accordingly. Issues are pointed out in identification of the anomaly when GPR is applied to detection of the underground air defense tunnel.
