THE DUCTILE DEFORMATION AND FORMATION MECHANISM OF EARLY PALAEOZOIC STRATA IN QINGYANG, ANHUI

Xu Wei(Regional Geological Survey of Anhui)
Ductile deformation usually occurs in the early Palaeozoic strata in the Qingyang area of Anhui, such as: glide fault, cleavage, small ductile shear, rheomorphic fold and buding, etc. Ductile deformation and strong transposition of structure were disclosed by microtectonic analysis. The tectonic deformation reaches to the upper part of the midlower tectonic level and its forming mechanism is gravitational gliding.
