THE DISCOVERRY AND ITS GEOLOGIC IMPLICATIONS OF MESOZOIC VOLCANICS IN THE HINTERLAND OF RHE DABIE Mt.S,ANHUI

Qian Cunchao Jia Shijun (Anhui Academy of Geological Survey, Hefei 230001)
A suite of Mesozoic volcanics have been discovered in medium-deep metamorphic rocks. When the arthors carried out a 1:50000 scale regional surrvey in the hinterland of the Dabie Mt.s.The primary rock types consist of quartz andesitic crystal tufflava, volcanic and their contact relationship with wall rock have alse been made clear through careful investigation and tracing and served as a basis for recognition of strutural evolution and thermal rising-stoping, the formation of ultra-high pressure metamorphic belt (UHPMB) and exhumational mechanism in the Dabie Mt.s.
