Photocatalytic degradation of methyl orange on rare-earth ion(Sm~(3+),La~(3+)) doped nano-sized TiO_2

The photocatalyzers of Nano-sized TiO2 doped with La3+ and Sm3+ were prepared respectively using Tetrabutyl titanate 、Sm2O3 and La2O3 as materials,and the samples have been applied in photocatalytic degradation of methyl orange.The synthesis factors of samples were optimized and photocatalytic effects were also studied.The results show that the catalytic activity of La3+-doped TiO2 is higher than that of Sm3+-doped TiO2.
