Study on Edible Plant Resources Species of Allium L. in China

The edible plant resources species of Allium L. in China were investigated by fieldwork and literature research method. The results showed that there are 68 species and 6 varieties,in which,7 species and 2 varieties as crop,49 species and 3varieties as wild vegetable,11 species as condiment and wild vegetable,1 speciesand 1 variety as condiment. Differences in utilization of folk wild Alliums at different regions and introduction and cultivation of wild Alliums were discussed.
