Based on the comparison between Zhu Xi’s family ritual behaviors in practice and the text of Family Ritual, the article held that Zhu Xi coordinated his words and behaviors, and moreover, the principles in Family Ritual were carried out in his family affairs. However, because of the changes in practice and thoughts, there were obvious differences between the text and some behaviors. The “Shrines” in Family Ritual, which was most noted, may not be written by Zhu Xi.
