Ulysses and gender

In Ulysses,James Joyce ridiculed,challenged and subverted the traditionally defined ideal femininity and masculinity.Through the representation of Molly and Bloom who transcend the traditional definition of ideal man and woman,Joyce attempted to free man and woman from the unreasonable restrictions of gender system and establish a new,more liberate and human gender system.
