Explore structure and developmental characteristics of self-concept by MSCS among 923 our middle school students and discover that self-concept is a multidimensional and hierarchical structure;the level is lower and the development is U distribution;there are sexual differences in physical self-concept and family self-concept;urban students have higher level in competence and emotions than rural students;there are interactions between grade and district in its all dimensions.
