CHU Tai-song (Dept.of Liter., ANU. Wuhu 241000,China)
The paper dealt mainly with the rhyme system which is reflected by the sanskrit-transcription of Kumarjīva,famous translator in the Jin Dynasty. By means of analysing and contrasting the data, we put forward the rhyme system of the northern dialect in the Jin Dynasty. The system is as follows: the finals -p、-t、-k, the head vowels j or u, the Yin-sheng rhyme categories 10, the Yang-sheng rhyme categories 13, and the entering rhyme 13. It conforms to the rhyme system of verse and prose during the corresponding period.
