Study on Fluorospectrophoto Metric Determination of Copper(Ⅱ)with 5-(2′-Carboxybenzenazo) Rhodaniue

In this paper, we will introduce the 5—(2'—Carboxybenzenazo) rhodanine been applied to fluorospectrophotometric determination of microamounts of copper(Ⅱ). This reagent reacts with copper(Ⅱ) in PH=5.6 and shows an intense fluoresence at λ_(em)/λ_(em)= 400nm/310nm. The fluoresence intensity is proportional to copper(Ⅱ) Concentration in the range of 0—48ppb with a seasitivity of 8ppb. The method has been apploed to the determination of trace copper in meat and vegetable with Satisfactory results.
