THE HISTOLOGIC STUDY OF THE CEREBRAL CORTEX IN NEW-HATCHING ALLIGATOR SINENSIS

The histologic stucture of cerebral cortex in new hatching A.Sinesis was studied by microscope.The cerebral cortex include three layers: outer plexiform layer,cell layer and inner plexiform layer. There are some small cells scatter in outer and inner plexiform layer. From medial to lateral, the cerebral cortex can be divided into three parts: hippocampus, general cortex and pyriform lobe, there is no distinct boundary between them, but the cell organization is different. The characters of cerebral cortex in A.Sinensis were discussed and were compared with other vertebrate animals.
