THE NEW DEVELOPMENT OF RARE EARTH ELEMENT DOPED OPTICAL FIBER

Rare earth element doped optical fibers as amplifier are of great interest in optical communication. The paper offers brief overview for the recent research advances. It also describes the charateristics,operation principle and usage of rare earth doped fiber amplifier.
