A new rapid flow injection chemiluminescence method was established for the determination of salicylic acid. The method is based on the chemiluminescence reaction of Cerium(IV)(salicylic acid with Tween20 as inhancer in sulfuric acid medium. The detection limit and linear range are 2.5×10-9g/ml and 4.0×10-9-1.1×10-6mol/L , respectively, the relative standard detection is 0.85%. The method developed has been applied to the determination of salicylic acid in bactericidal solution with satisfactory results.
