IMMUNOHISTOCHEMICAL LOCATION OF P_(53)PROTEIN IN THE FOLLICLES OF THREE KINDS OF REPTILE

ABC)immunohistochemical method was applied to locate P 53 protein in the follicles of Gekko swinhonis?Dinodon rufozonatum and Peoldiscus sinensis. The results showed that minority of Gekko swinhonis's granular cells took on P 53 positive reactivity, all the P 53 immunoreactivity was located in the cytoplasm of Dinodon rufozonatum's granular cells, and P 53 positive immunoreactivity emerged in the early follicular cells of Peoldiscus sinensis. Studies suggested that P 53 protein in the follicles of Gekko swinhonis and Dinodon refozonatum might be relative to the apoptosis of the granular cells,and this substance in the follicle of oldiscus sinensis presumably had the function that it can regulate the growth and the differentiation of early follicular cells and the initiation of the primitive follicles.
