An Experimental Investigation on Resonance Enhanced Multiphoton Ionization of Br in the Range of 279.5-287.0nm

The MPID-TOF-MS of Methyl bromide at 282nm and the excitation spectra of Br~+ in the range of 279.5-287.0nm are measured.From the excitation spectra of Br~+,two (2+1)REMPI spectral lines are discovered firstly and assigned as from the spin forbidden transitions 5P~4P_(3/2)、5P~4P_(5/2)←4P~2P_(1/2).
