Determination of Mercury in Aquatic Life by Resonance Light Scattering Technique

This work briefly states the spectra of resonance light scattering(RLS) of mercury ammonium tetrathiocyanodiammonochromate system in a microemulsion medium.The spectral characteristics,effect factors and optimum conditions of the reaction were investigated.The quantitative relationship of the intensities of RLS to the concentration of mercury(Ⅱ) was established.The linear range of the determination for mercury is 0-20.5μg/ml.This method has been applied to the determination of mercury in aquatic life with the recovery of 96.0%-103%.
