The Effects on Flowering and Morphological Indexes of Chrysanthemum morifolium by Short Day Control

There were 10 typical florist’s chrysanthemum cultivars selected to take short day control through the whole August,2010.It showed that the bloom of those cultivars with short-day treatment advanced by 35-40 days;there was not too much impact on their ornamental effect,in spite of the flower diameter’s decrease by 1.5-3.0cm;the growth rate increased sharply after taking treatment 10-20 days.According to the analysis of variance,the increment of plant height,leaves number and stems diameter between different cultivars,different treatment and different periods all existed significant differences as well as the interaction among those factors.
