Experimental Study of Serial Electrode System for RF CO_2 Lasers

With voltage probe, RF voltage along electrodes is measured and analysed forradio frequency(RF)excited fast axial flow CO_2 laser. We find that the distribution ofRF voltage on the electrodes is consistent with transmission line theory. So we regard aserial elctrode system and exited plasma as a dissipative parallel-double-line transmis-sion line.It's an important evidence to make use of reactive method to design uniformRF voltage along the electrode.
