Objective To investigate whether the prevalence of kidney stones in peritoneal dialysis patients was higher than that in the general population and to explore the possible causes. Methods We analyzed the prevalence of kidney stones in 107 peritoneal dialysis patients followed up in our hospital from July 2015 to July 2017. And we compared it with the general population. Peritoneal dialysis patients were divided into stone group and non-stone group, and the clinical and laboratory indexes of the two groups were assessed. Results The prevalence of kidney stones in peritoneal dialysis patients followed up in our hospital was 21. 5%,which was higher than in the general population, and the difference was statistically significant. Logistic regression analysis showed that male, hyperuricemia and hyperlipidemia were risk factors for kidney stones in peritoneal dialysis patients. Conclusion The prevalence of kidney stones in peritoneal dialysis patients is higher than that in the general population. The risk factors of kidney stones in peritoneal dialysis patients are men, hyperuricemia and hyperlipidemia.
