XING Ruiting;School of Chinese Language and Literature,Jiangsu Normal University;
The theme of Xi You Chang Chu in the Book of Songs has always been controversial. Now people are more inclined to think that the Xi You Chang Chu is a love poem. However,there are obvious flaws in this argument that make the pattern of the rules expressed by Book of Songs into the interpretation of specific poetry. For example,the interpretation of "mountain has…Wetland has…""Chang Chu" and "happy" are obviously in mechanically. The regular pattern of Book of Songs is universal,but not all-purpose. Every poem has its particularity. The Xi You Chang Chu is not a love poem. It is a poem of admire at trees without sorrow.
