The Conflicts in the Western Regions of China, Made by Turgesh, Arabs and Tibetans, in the Early Tang Dynasty

Kaiyuan period was a critical phase of the Western Regions situation. Only clear the struggle context and outline of the Tang,Tibetan,Arab and Turgish in the Western Regions,can we grasp the contention essence of various forces for the Western Regions. This article, the combination of Chinese-foreign historical materials and research results, studied the fight for the Western Regions of Tang-Tibetan,Turgish-Arab and Tang-Tibetan,and thought the internal reason of Turgesh'resistance to the eastern invasion of Arab lay in the desire of attempting to take over the original sovereignty of the Western Regions of Western Turkic;Tibetan'ultimate domination of the Western Regions' situation based on the flexible strategy change around the center of entering the Western Regions and seeking a breakthrough from multiple aspects as well as the strength of its own military power and the decline of the Tang Dynasty.
