Example Analysis on Relationship between Changes of Agricultural Structure and Farmers' Income in Tianjin City

ZHANG Xiao-zhen CHEN Tao(Statistical Institute,Capital University of Economist and Business,Beijing 100070)
Criginal statistics of Tianjin's agriculture from 1980 to 2007 were chosen as the sample and the relationship between farmers' income in the city and agricultural structure was analyzed using Granger's causality test and co-integration analysis. The results showed that changes of agricultural structure were the Granger reason for fluctuation of farmers' incomes in Tianjin. The long-term positive correlation between farmers' income and agricultural structure meant that improper agricultural structure was the major reason for China's agriculture slowing down in recent years.Based on this, improvement of agricultural structure would help increase farmers' income and development of the agriculture, which could provide theoretical support to guarantee a long-term,rapid and steady development of the agriculture in China.
