Application of SCS Model in Flood Warning in Mountainous and Hilly Area

Based on the study of flood control of Luo River Basin in Luoyang area,the runoff curve model SCS was used to study characteristics of runoff generation under different conditions of covering soil and land.This method was simple and practical for the applying of early warning services for middle and small valley in Luoyang mountainous and hilly area with lack of hydrologic data.In this paper,taking the Luo River Basin in Luoyang area as the research object,combined GIS with the SCS model,the value of CN matrix and the spatial distribution of runoff were determined.With the addition of distribution of hilly roads,scenic spots and mining area,so as to provide decision-making services of mountain torrent disaster for tourism and mining in mountainous and hilly area.
