Analysis of Bacterial Community Diversity in the Oil Reservoir by 16S rDNA Clone Library Method

As one significant microbial resource, microorganisms play an important role in crude oil exploitation and remediation of oil-contaminated soil. 16 S rDNA clone library was conducted to explore the bacterial community of oil reservoir in this research. Based on clone library analysis, bacteria mainly belong to 8 phyla in oil reservoir, and they are Alphaproteobacteria(46%), Betaproteobacteria(35%), Firmicutes(8%), Nitrospirae(2%), Synergistetes(1%), Dictyoglomia(1%),Deferribacteres(1%), Gammaproteobacteria(1%), and unclassified bacteria. Meanwhile, there are many hydrocarbon-degrading bacteria, such as genus Sphingomonas and genus Delftia in oil reservoir. Better understanding bacterial community in extreme oil reservoirs will construct a good foundation for microbial enhanced oil recovery(MEOR).
