Effects on Growth of Sunflower(Helianthus annuus L.) by Application Rates of Desulfurized Gypsum in Amelioration of Saline-alkali Soil

In order to study the effects of amelioration of typical saline-alkali soil in Baicheng City by different application rates of desulfurized gypsum,latin square design is used in field experimental plots.Results show that under the condition of applying desulfurizs gypsum into saline-alkali soil,the values of content of soil organic matter,soil nutrient,the rate of seedling emergence,1 000-grain weight and yield of sunflower are dramatically increased and those of ESP(exchangeable sodium percentages),pH,salt concentration of saline-alkali soil are obviously decreased.According to the analog curve for the correlations between the amount of desulfurized gypsum applied and the rate of seedling emergence,1 000-grain weight and yield of sunflower,it shows that the optimum application rate of desulfurized gypsum to ameliorate saline-alkali soil is 28.0 t/hm2.
