Objective To investigate the clinical features, prognosis and the expression of drug sensitivity protein in patients with triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC). Method 221 patients with breast cancer were selected, including 63 cases with TNBC(observation group), and 158 cases with non-TNBC(control group). The expressions of topoisomerase II(TOPO II), β-tubulin III, p53, Ki-67 and E-cadherin were detected by immunohistochemical staining, and the clinical features and prognosis of two groups were compared. Result There was no significant difference in age, menopausal status, tumor diameter, pathological type and operation regimen between the observation group and the control group(P0.05); the proportions of patients with family history of breast cancer, clinical stage III, lymph node metastasis and histological grade III in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P0.05); the positive expression rate of TOPO II in observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P0.01), and the positive expression rate of β-tubulin III in observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P0.01); the median overall survival time and progression free survival time in the observation group were significantly shorter than those in the control group(P0.05). Conclusion The clinical pathological features between patients with TNBC and with non-TNBC are different, the prognosis of patients with TNBC is worse than patients with non-TNBC,and the expressions of TOPO II and β-tubulin III in these two kinds of patients were different.
