Study on Artificial Ground Freezing Method Applied to Connected Aisle Construction in Metro Tunnel

Taking frozen construction of a thoroughfare of Shanghai Metro into account,the paper introduces the design of frozen soil structure and level freezing technology in the connected aisle project where this aisle and the pumping station are built together,and the measure of controlling frost heaving and thaw collapse by foroed-thawing and grouting.The soil temperatures and ground surface deformation and associated information were monitored during the construction and the results measured were analyzed.The conculusion can be referred by future freezing method for construction of side channels.
