Key Technologies of DOT Shield Thrusting Construction Closed to Strustures

Taking the numing metro tunnel section of Shanghai rall transit line 6 between stations of Yuanshen Sporting Center and Century Avenue as an example,the construction methods of DOT shield thrusting under several disadvantageous surrounding conditions are introduced.The difficulties encountered during construction include close- ly tunneling beneath a utility tunnel with depth of 0.8m;closely tunneling beneath a 5-storyod civil building at 1m depth and the protection methods for the underground pipelines.Researches were made on several key technologies during the process of DOT construction,as well as effective protection measures on structure were taken to ensure the safety of the surface buildings and the underground pipelines.Besults indicate that the measures are effective,and references can be provided for other similar projects.
