Regression Analysis of Initial Geostress for an Underground Power Plant Region

Based on the measured data of initial geostress and engineering conditions in the region of an under- ground power plant,the factors affecting the initial geostress are discussed.The regressive calculations of three di- mensional FEM for the initial geostress in engineering area are achieved through ANSYS software.Then,a multivari- ate regression model is developed for measured and calculated results of geostress at measurement points,and the re- gression coefficient of the medel is derived.The result shows that this method is reliable and it provides a rational ini- tial geostress field for analyzing the stability of the underground power plant.
