Primary Study on Geotechnical Engineering Problems of Infrastructure Constructions in Three Gorges Reservoir Area

With nearly completing the constructions of the Three Gorges project and completion of cities and towns for immigrants,the economy development of immigrant cities and towns will be the main issue.Now,combi- ning with the tactic of west China development,the large-scale infrastructure constructions,especially communica- tion net constructions,are carried out through all the Three Gorges reservoir area.During the constructions,there are some geotechnical engineering problems that must be attached importance to due to the 30m rising and falling of the reservoir water level every year.In this paper,combining with an great expressway bridge above the Daning River that located between Wushan and Fengjie of Chongqing,the dynamic water pressure problem,the Karst problem and the reservoir bank rebuilding problem of the bridge slopes are discussed.The methods of studying these problems,the weak point of the methods,and the aspects that must be paid mere attention to are presented.
