A Review on Deterioration of Rock Caused by Water-Rock Interaction

As the front field of geotechnical engineering and its related disciplines,the water-rock interaction(WRI) is characterized by multi-discipline crossing and is a crucial content in the study of stability of engineering rock and soil.In the process of WRI,the rock altered the current state of water,while suffering from repeated water erosion.Respectively,based on physical effects,chemical effects and mechanical effects,the research progress on deterioration of rock caused by WRI at home and abroad is reviewed in this paper.The mechanism of deterioration and the variation law of physical and mechanical properties of rock were summarized.With the further development of calculation theory,experiment means and analysis method,the research prospect of WRI is worth expecting.
