New Method of Calculation about Shallow Buried Tunnel Loosing Pressure

Considering three defects in traditional loosening pressure calculation of shallow-buried soil tunnel,that is,first,the calculation range of model failure surface is too large;Second,the friction calcluation is not accurate;and Third,the disadvantageous factors are ignored.This paper presents two kinds of calculation methods to avoid these defects.One is based on the limiting equilibrium theory and elastic-plastic theory to calculate loosening pressure,the other one is the rock column theory with damage range modified,which is the so-called modified rock column theory,this method takes account of disadvantageous effect.These two methods have strict mechanical basis,and calculating results are more close to actual situation.This paper provides two new methods for calculating the loosening pressure of shallow-buried tunnel.
