Limit Solution of Underground Chamber Considering Non-linear Softening and Dilatancy of Surrounding Rock

Based on the nonlinear unified strength theory of rock,the unified limit equilibrium analysis formula of underground chamber has been established,which considers three plastic models of rock mass including nonlinear model,the ideal elastic-plastic model and strong brittle model.The formula considers nonlinear softening and non associated flow characteristics of underground rock.The solutions of stress,displacement and radius of plastic zone is obtained.Those solutions not only consider the characteristics of the favorable differences of the rock strength in compression and tension,but also the intermediate principal stress and the nonlinear failure of rock.The nonlinear unified strength theory of rock reflects the characteristics of the nonlinear destruction of rock,and can also be extended to jointed rock masses.Moreover,through the comparison of three kinds of typical plastic model,it is feasible to take limit equilibrium analysis of underground chamber using the ideal elastic-plastic model when rock softening characteristics are not too obvious.The above conclusions for the underground rock engineering have its theoretical and engineering application value.
