Monitoring Measurement and Evaluation of Stability in Fujiachong Tunnel

The monitoring measurement plays an important role in safety and instruction of tunnel engineering.During Fujiachong Tunnel construction,there were collapse of the section ZK26+081 of left tunnel and YK25+547 of right tunnel.Those were the two most severe collapses in this tunnel construction.According to engineering geology and construction condition in-situ,the early warning of collapse was presented through monitoring measurement and geological prediction.From the aspects of distribution of layered rock,continuous rainstorm and engineering practice the reason for tunnel collapse were discussed.Due to those typical collapses,the displacement of convergence and vault crown settlement were measured and regression analysis was carried out to reflect the tunnel stability.Through contrasting the analysis with the real project,it could be found that the collapse was easily generated in V class of weak weathering shale rock.So it is important that the tunnel engineering construction should be combined with monitoring measurement to give the early warning of collapse and direct the construction.
