Internal Force Calculation of Piles in Metro Station Construction Using PBA Method

Piles were important components in construction of metro station using PBA(Pile-Beam-Arch) method,so the influence of tunnel face space on ground deformation could be complicated.According to construction process analysis,loading conditions of piles could be dramatically changed when excavation of the lower bench under the platform slab started and the most dangerous conditions would occur when soil mass excavation of the lower bench were accomplished.The internal force calculation methods were deduced considering the supporting of temporary cross-braces and the most dangerous conditions and additional bending moment caused by vertical loading.Comparisons between model test and calculation results presented its rationality.
