Analysis and Research on Laboratory Model Test for Twin-tunnel under Unsymmetrical Pressure

It is an effective way to conduct laboratory model tests to study on the deformation character and pressure pattern of twin-tunnel surrounding rock.Based on the 1:50 laboratory model test of a highway twin-tunnel,we get the material mixture ratios of the tunnel surrounding rock and tunnel first lining and middle wall by fast direct shear tests and uniaxial compressive tests.The mixture ratio of Grade Ⅳ wall rock is: Barite powder: sand: paste(water: wheat starch=1 000 ∶50) =12 ∶2 ∶2.1;the mixture ratio of the tunnel first lining and middle wall is: Water: gypsum: barite powder = 0.65:1:0.06.The model tunnel excavation and middle wall construction are carried out after the tunnel materials are compounded based on the above mixture ratios.A comparison of numerical simulation and model test is made,and the results indicate that our mixture ratios can commendably simulate the mechanical behavior of twin-tunnel and can be applied in the laboratory model test well.
