Study on Similarity Technique for Dynamic Model Test of Water-conveyance Tunnel

For dynamic structural model test and dynamic rupture model test,the basic requirements and treating technique for keeping the similarity relationship between the prototype and the model are different according to the experiment goal.Based on the research and numerical simulation of dynamic model experiment of water-conveyance tunnel in soft soil with considering the fluid-solid coupling,when Young's modulus of prototype and model is not equal,the dynamic similarity ruler is based on the Young's modulus ratio of surrounding rock according to the engineering practice and economy of material selection for the test.Some new ideas to keep the similarity between the prototype and the model for dynamic structural model test and dynamic rupture model test of the embankment structures are introduced as valuable reference.
