Subsidence Prediction of Deep Foundation Pit Surrounding Surface Based on Gompertz Model

The theory of subsidence prediction of deep foundation pits surrounding surface is not mature yet,and this theory is still in its research stage.The specification gives the related monitoring standards,but it does not provide the related prediction method,and the monitoring standards on various specifications are not unified.The prediction methods from the literatures are based on making predictions through the parameters and some linear hypothesis,they are one-step methods and the accuracy of predicted value is entirely determined by the parameter,where the human factor is significant,which is enable to consider special concrete construction in engineering,and to be adjusted in construction process.Gompertz model is a growth curve which is inversely S-shaped and often used in manufacture and business areas.Gompertz derivative model is parabolic shaped and similar to the curve of deep foundation pits.After Gompertz model's derivation and adjustment,the prediction formula for surrounding surface subsidence of deep foundation pit,δ(x)=ace(b-cx)exp(-e(b-cx)),is concluded.This formula didn't take the maximum lateral value as prediction condition,then,the prediction calculation steps of the formula were given,the value of the parameters eliminated the human influence factors,thus was more reasonable.It shows that the prediction precision is high and verified by engineering examples.It is a simple and practical method of foundation pit surface subsidence prediction.
