Comprehensive Prediction of Fissure Water in Extra-Long Deep Tunnel and Its Application

Water gushing was a kind of common geological hazards in tunnel construction process,which was a potential security risk and caused economic loss for the construction.So,it is crucial to give an accurate and immediate advanced prediction about the developing situation of fissure water in front of the tunnel face.This paper summarized current computational methods in tunnel water gushing capacity calculation and advanced prediction about the fissure water,and made comparisons about the merits and demerits and the applicability of these methods.Based on the Shimenya Tunnel Project of Yichang-Badong Highway,the fissure water developing situation of the whole tunnel and the advanced prediction program are divided by using geological analysis method.To forecast the fissure water in combination with the water gushing capacity caculation and TSP forecasting system,a good forecast result has been received,which can be taken as example for similar engineering.
