Application of Partition Grading Method to Fractured Rock at the Tibet Rumei Hydropower Station

On the basis of Rumei hydropower station in Tibet combined with the current research methods of rock parameters,this work makes numerical simulation and partition grading on the fractured rock mass in the underside dam site through the equivalent computing method of numerical simulation of the partition grading fractured rock mass according to the rock mass type,strength and weathering degree,development characteristics and geometric features of the fracture structure surfaces.After comparing these data with calculation results of the geological evaluation system GSI,it comes to a conclusion that the parameter results of fractured rocks from these two methods are basically the same.Although there are differences when analyzing from their own theoretical point of view,it is within the permission range,which shows that the method suggested in this paper is dependable.Additionally the partition grading method of fractured rock mass can simplify numerical model and effectively reduce the computational cost to improve the calculation accuracy and speed.
