Evaluation of Tunnel Safety Based on Geological Radar Technology

This paper mainly describes the working principle of geological radar detection which is an efficient,fast and non-destructive testing method and plays an increasingly important role in the process of tunnel construction at present.Through long-term analysis of detection process during the process of detecting the tunnel lining by using the geological radar,three common defects of the typical radar images were summed up,which would provide reference for future detecting work.Besides,FLAC3D numerical simulation method was applied to analyze the cavity and insufficient thickness behind the tunnel lining with the final discovery that the vault is prone to give defects during the process of tunnel construction and at the same time,by analyzing seven working conditions of tunnel defects,useful reference data are obtained to provide strong theoretical foundation for assessing the tunnel safety.
